Recover: Dust Off, Try Again

Recover: Dust Off, Try Again

“Prioritize possibilities and regroup from failures.” While attempting a new process with little knowledge, we refrain from pushing through minor downfalls. Instead, we tend to focus on the lows, rather than the potential highs. Isn’t the possibility of success better than the impact of failure? If so, why give up?

Last week, I decided to make a rational, but unlikely decision and bet on myself. At this time, the lack of knowledge was evident, but for some reason, I am able to identify a solution with each problem. Despite the wins, I constantly remind myself that I may not be good enough, or question my ability to succeed. Truth is, even a one percent chance of success towards a passion project is better than a 90% employment skill which enforces loss of interest. I’m not certain of the age in which I began giving up on dreams, imagination, and fun, but I recall the feeling. The child within somehow felt the need to hide because the responsibilities were too much to bear. However, that inner child allows me to be irrational, risk the certain for the uncertain, and at least try because I believe I can succeed.

Whenever I speak with most adults, I am able to identify if they’ve lost their inner child or not. Honestly, it’s a bit unfortunate that we lack the freedom to just be. I’m eager to consume my inner child and regain the true meaning of “I am.” I am strong. I am confident. I am a fighter. I am a believer. I believe I will succeed! The child I am becoming will restart, retake and recover for in my humble opinion, it only takes a 1% chance to become the 1%.
